Friday Favorites No. 670
Good morning friends, how was your week? It’s been a long short week. We have been inundated with weather forecasts, emails and updates and I still feel as if we are no closer to knowing the actual weather.
Yes, there will be an icy rain mix and a possibility of snow but the estimates are anywhere from .5 inches to 5 inches. More worrisome is the ice buildup on the power lines.I have high hopes for lots of snow, or at least enough to make a tiny snowman like the one above. If you live in one of the 30 states that will be affected by the weather, stay warm and stay safe.
Don’t forget Kim, Juliet and I will be here tomorrow for Weekend Meanderings sharing lots of fun things. Ok, let’s get to the good stuff.
Food
Caramelized ground beef on top of creamy peanut noodles and veggies! Yes please! Everything Lindsay makes is delicious and foolproof.
One pan baked chicken and rice, it doesn’t get any easier.
Wine braised short ribs are a family favorite, especially when served over creamy mashed potatoes.
Treat yourself to a piece of Ina’s Triple chocolate loaf cake. I am making this today to enjoy during the storm.

Blue is one of my favorite colors, and this week I went tone on tone. A pair of blue cords with a simple oversized Oxford shirt, a pair of ballet flats, trench and a silver bracelet. Simple and classic.
