Hello! It’s Friday. How was your week? This week has been crazy for me. I feel like I have not had a minute where I am not working on something, either work a project at home or something for someone else.
Hopefully this weekend I will find myself with a good book and a cup of tea. Although I do not think that will happen on Saturday as I have a list as long as my arm of things I am supposed to finish. I will reward myself on Sunday for a job well done.
I have seen some beautiful decorating for Fall on blogs, Pinterest and in the home decor magazine but I have just not felt up to digging out my decorations.
I have managed to get some Indian Corn, pumpkins, acorns (which my sister stained, glued the tops on and mailed from Illinois), some feathers and some amber glass fishing floats.
Although it is not much it makes things look a little festive.
The beauty of nature is sometimes all you need for a little pick me up.
Have you decorated to celebrate the bounty of Fall?
Are you a fan of natural decorating?
I would love to see your decorations or your finds from the gardens, the woods and trees.
And if you tried the decoupage pumpkin project send me a link and I will add it to my post. I would love to see how you decorated your pumpkins.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Elizabeth:
These are simply wonderful images and a joy to look at.
As it happens there is no tradition here of decorating for autumn so, in common with others, we do nothing!!
Kellemes hétvégét!

Hello Elizabeth
I love your images. The acorns in the candle holder warm is superb and I can image the glow from the nuts when the candle is ignited.
Have a glorious weekend

Good morning sweet friend! Fall is surely coming here, but we still have a sweet warm feel during the day. It is time for me perhaps TODAY to put away some of my summer pots and get ready. This is the last week of September!!!!!!!! Have a fantastic weekend! Anita

I'm itching to "decorate" something right this minute…but so far haven't had the time to pull out all the bins, tubs, plastic bags laden with collection collected over years. Ahhhhh well….enjoy your weekend.

Hi Elizabeth! I haven't really done any fall decorating yet, but yesterday I bought some sunflowers and put them in a tall vase in my kitchen. They are making me very happy. And I am also doing a little fall cooking, using butternut squash and other fall produce. Have a great weekend and I hope you get to relax a bit on Sunday!

Elizabeth, I pulled a few things for autumn together last weekend. School pretty much keeps me busy during the week. I have acorns galore; (and of course now when I see them I think of your wonderful blog) I've never thought of gluing the tops back on. I am off to forage under my oaks. Have a wonderful weekend.

I've been gathering up acorns on my morning walk. 😉 It's a wonderful feeling to move from the hot days of summer into the crisp, cool days of fall with all the rusty reds and deeper greens. Thanks for sharing your fall touches.

Little by little the fall decor is sneaking into my house, and I do use many natural elements–pumpkins and gourds, acorns, pine cones and grasses, and of course corn! Linda

Your photography is gorgeous, Elizabeth!
I am a huge fan of naturals this time of year. How sweet of your sister to send you acorns from IL.
🙂
I love Indian corn too but hung it just once on my front door many years ago only to be rudely awakened in the middle of the night to two screaming racoons fighting over the ears they had torn down. What a horrid noise they make when fighting!!!
It was pretty funny actually, but I decided not to put it out again.
Sorry Rocky!
Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth!
