MONDAY MUSINGS NO. 145
Good Monday morning friends. How was your weekend?
Ours was relaxing, just what I needed. Sometimes life and your body tell you what you need and this weekend I listened.
Friday at 5:00 I shut my computer and it remained that way until early evening in Sunday when I picked it up to write this post. I did occasionally scroll on my phone, but otherwise I caught up on some reading, and had fun with my family.
Saturday Bill and I rode our new electric bikes to the village for the Holly Arts fest and then an additional 10 miles weaving in an out of neighborhoods and some trails in the area. It is a bit of a challenge when you are not used to the weight of the bikes and riding on trails with lots and lots of pine trees.
Sunday my sister came and spent the day, we ran errands, puttered around the house, baked and just had fun.
What did you do? Tell me something fun that you did this weekend.
On, on to 5+ things.

For forty-two years, Sally Harrison has been building a library.
Each year, on her daughter’s birthday, she adds a new book to her shelves – with a note in the front dedicated to her own greatest work.
But Ella – Sally’s only child – fled to Australia twenty-one years ago after a heated exchange, and never looked back. And though Sally still dutifully adds a new paperback to the shelves every time the clock strikes midnight on July 11th, her hopes of her daughter ever thumbing through the pages are starting to dwindle.
Then disaster strikes and Ella is forced to return to the home she once knew.
She is soon to discover that when one chapter ends, another will soon follow.
All you have to do is turn the page…

OUTFIT DETAILS
Red is the perfect color for Fall and Winter, it is bright, cheerful and eye-catching. Not to mention it is such a happy and vibrant color, sure to put you in a great mood on the gray days ahead. This beautiful coat can be dressed up or down as I did here with jeans and a sweater.
A plaid scarf goes with everything, in my opinion. And don’t forget to add a brooch or two to your sweater or coat. Get your “bling on.”

On My Radar

Hi Elizabeth,
Your new electric bikes sounds like a fun thing you can do together, also sounds like an excellent workout.
Nice that you listened to your body and remove yourself from electronics, such a good thing to do. All of these devices can become such an obsession.
Have a super duper week.
I spent time near the Pacific Ocean this past weekend. First, we went walking across the Golden Gate Bridge & a small hike to a beach. Second, we headed south to Santa Cruz and hit the famous Boardwalk and rode the 100 year old Giant Dipper roller coaster. Had a memorable weekend!
It sounds like a wonderful weekend! I have not been to SF in years but always loved our adventures there.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for sharing.
I think we need to try those bikes!!
Cindy you would love them! I will send you some information, they are fabulous!
