MONDAY MUSINGS NO. 143
Good morning friends, how was your weekend?
We had a leisurely weekend at home. Lazy mornings in reading in bed, long walks in the afternoon sun and time with family and friends.
Saturday my sister and brother in law came for dinner. The weather was perfect so we ate outside. So nice in fact that we sat out long after the sun went down and enjoyed the light breeze, the sounds of the nature and the beautiful stars.
Sunday I baked, that is my favorite way to spend a Fall and Winter day in the kitchen. I like to experiment with new recipes from my stacks of cookbooks and magazines.
Another thing I love to do on Sundays is “spa day.” I do a mud mask, deep condition my hair, a Moroccan black soap scrub and a manicure and a pedicure. By the end of my treatments, my skin is soft and smooth, my hair is shiny, my nails are colorful and my spirits are lifted.
Do you have a weekend self-care routine? I would love to know how you pamper yourself so please share.
Tell me, what did you do this weekend?
1.READ~The Day Shelly Woodhouse Woke Up

The Day Shelly Woodhouse Woke Up
When Shelley Woodhouse wakes up in hospital from a coma, the first thing she says is that her husband must be arrested.
He’s the reason she’s in here. She knows it. She remembers what he did. Clearly as anything.
But there are things Shelley has forgotten too, including parts of her childhood. And as those start to come back to her, so do other memories. Ones with the power to change everything.
But can she trust these new memories, or what anyone around her is telling her? And who is the mysterious hospital volunteer who brings her food and keeps making her smile? Is it possible to find your future when you’re confused about your past?

Thank you Cindy! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.
I need to find a good mud mask and institute Sunday Spa Day. I remember using Queen Helene Mint Juleup masks and also those peel-off masks that were briefly popular in the 1980s 🙂
