The beautiful Olivia Annabelle, Turville Grange is for sale, an Anthropologie Somerset dress review and more Weekend Meanderings.

Good Saturday morning friends! Today I am joining Kim and Juliet for weekend meanderings, our weekly series of things that caught our eye and piqued our interest.
Goodness me, it has been a week, some good, some bad. The good news is that my dad’s results for his recent biopsy came back negative. That is a relief.
The other good news, I am preparing for 2 weeks of visitors and I could not be more excited. As I mentioned yesterday, my aunt arrives on Sunday and when she leaves on Thursday I will have time to change the sheets before my mom arrives.
Ok, let’s get to the good stuff!
WEEKEND MEANDERINGS
Lee Radziwill’s Old Home Turville Grange

Just in case you have some spare change laying around or like me you like to look at beautiful homes and property. Lee Radziwell, sister of Jackie Kennedy Onasis, former home was recently for sale.
“This incredible Grade II listed property was built in the late 18th Century and has since undergone extensive refurbishments and alterations to become the grand estate it is today. The main manor house presents exquisite period features throughout including two chimneys, sash windows and an original, 18th-century, walled garden. Set across two storeys, the property is well laid out with all of the downstairs reception rooms connected via the main entrance hall. The key rooms throughout the home are well proportioned with exquisite features and an abundance of natural light. . The residence comprises some 8000 sq ft with 10 bedrooms, ample living quarters, a wine store, China store and two pantry’s. Connected via a covered walkway is the premier guest house with independent sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms.
Turville Grange Additions
The home features a selection of outbuildings including 3 Guest Cottage’s, a secondary residence, converted stables and a contemporary pool house. The luxurious pool house sits within the luscious grounds of the property featuring a large swimming pool, fitness centre, spa facilities, and a guest suite.
The White House is a private secondary residence situated on the property. The home is some 1900 sq ft and features an impressive walled garden and double garage. Comprising a sitting room, formal dining room, a kitchen, and two bedrooms both with ensuites and dressing rooms, this home is the perfect guest house for family and friends when they come to visit. There are three further guest cottages on the property enveloped by beautifully landscaped gardens.
Further outbuildings include a converted stable block, barns, garages and a large glass house.”

OLIVIA ANNABELLE APPAREL~A Slow Fashion Fairytale
I came across Olivia Annabelle apparel and houseware I love it. The whimsical toile fabric, wallpaper and tabletop items are beautifully made British pieces made on a small scale.
“Olivia Annabelle has an inherently British feel, and takes inspiration from the nostalgia of the past, local traditions and superstitions, with hours spent researching the history, novels, art and culture of each theme. Each collection is themed and designed with exclusive playful one-off prints, historic shapes and accessories all designed in-house by Olivia. With an emphasis on whimsical, feminine and classic silhouettes taken from different time periods combined with distinctive prints and traditional fabrics, the result is a unique but carefully curated collection that encapsulates the romantic spirit of dressing up in a contemporary world.”
I have my eye on the Vauxhall Garden Toile cup and saucer, from the recent collection for Spring. You can read more about the company, products and philosophy here.
“From their early beginnings in the Restoration until the final closure in Queen Victoria’s reign, Vauxhall Gardens developed from a rural tavern and place of assignation into a dream-world filled with visual arts and music, and finally into a commercial site of mass entertainment. By the 18th century, Vauxhall was crucial to the cultural and fashionable life of the country, patronized by all levels of society, from royal dukes to penurious servants.”
In the first book on the subject for over fifty years, Alan Borg and David E. Coke reveal the teeming life, the spectacular art and the ever-present music of Vauxhall in fascinating detail. Borg and Coke’s historical exposition of the entire history of the gardens makes a major contribution to the study of London entertainments, art, music, sculpture, class and ideology. It reveals how Vauxhall linked high and popular culture in ways that look forward to the manner in which both art and entertainment have evolved in modern times.

Anthropologie Somerset Dress Review
Speaking of dresses, have you ever wondered how the Anthropologie Somerset dress fit, looked, what it was made of, etc?

I have and have had my eye on several but have never purchased one, after reading this comprehensive review by Kelly in the City I am sorry I waited so long.
Sadly because I did wait so long my favorite pattern is sold out in my size. Oh well, now I know for the next time. If you purchased the toile pattern leave a comment and let me know how fabulous you look in your dress.
Do you own a Somerset dress? How do you like it? Do you agree with Kelly?

Elizabeth, Really loved this post. First of all, Lee! She was such a cool person and what a house. That would be a dream to own. Like you, I love nothing better than house window shopping.
I haven’t heard of Olivia-Annabelle and the cups are beautiful!
Thank you for mentioning the dress post. So nice of you.
The Somerset Dress is lovely, but for my short waisted self, sadly it does not work. I so love the fabrics ! I love the dresses on your two collages also. You have been finding the prettiest things.
Hope you have a fun time with the family. I love when people visit. It gives you a chance to be break aways and do fun things in your own town.
Happy weekend!
xo
Good for your dad.
Elizabeth … I’m so happy for your dad’s good news. And what fun to have back to back company. Hope you have a wonderful time. Before I forget, yes, I have a several-years-old Somerset dress and it fits beautifully and is so comfortable. I just remembered, I have two. I wore the blue and white pattern to my nieces wedding last year. Love love love it. I’m going to do a deep dive into the Lee Radziwill house and all your links. She’s was a fascinating woman with incredibly good taste. Hope you’ve enjoying a beautiful weekend! xo
Hi Elizabeth! Wow, that is quite the estate! I thought I was lucky to have one guest house, haha! Love my Somerset dress! The fit is great and it is easy and comfortable to wear! That salad looks amazing! And The Botanist sounds interesting. I love historical fiction! Your posts are always jam packed with so many great things! Have a great week!
Molly, the actual listing for the house was AMAZING. There was a guest house and then 3 little cottages, as well as a pool house, 50 acres and lots more. I only hope whoever bought it keeps it intact.
I am going to have to order a Somerset dress, although I am sad the pattern I wanted is sold out. The Botanist is very good. Have a wonderful week! I hope you are enjoying your new granddaughter.
