Good morning friends and happy Friday to you. It is a hot, humid rainy morning with more of the same for the rest of the weekend. Aside from dinner with Lawrence there is nothing on the schedule but sorting books, cd’s and miscellaneous stuff for the move. I have such a hard time getting rid of my books and magazines I find myself very attached to them. Is anyone else like that?

I have a lot to share  this week so grab your coffee or chocolate and sit down because you might just be here awhile.

Food

Always start with dessert first! Summer berries are perfect to use in ice cream, pies, and of course bars. This week I made on of my favorites, Blueberry Crumble Bars, this recipe is easy and delicious and the best part, you can use whatever berries you have at home.

30 minute meals are always a great idea for your recipe box, this Chicken Bog casserole sounds and looks delicious!

If you want something a little lighter try this 10 minute watermelon feta salad.

I love every recipe from Browned Butter Blondie and this Strawberry Lemon Loaf cake is my new favorite.

  1. Those blueberry bars look so tasty Elizabeth! I have a weakness for anything with blueberries. And that’s crazy about those elephants!! Have a great weekend!

  2. I just wrote a post the other day about how the green of nature lifts us. Nothing better. I’ve been reading a book a day and trying to read through all my physical books so I can then just read books on my iPad.

  3. Hi Elizabeth, I hope you see this. You asked about my bathroom vanity. The email you used on my blog does not work. Anyway, it was custom made by Lowe’s. The cabinet brand is Diamond, but the the stock cabinets, but special order. The counter top is quartz and was sourced at a local stone yard.
