A weekend update, The Miracle Club, Dorthy Cannell, Fashion over 50, and so much more on Monday Musings.

MONDAY MUSINGS NO.96
Good morning friends, how was your weekend?
It was a quiet one here. Saturday we had a lie in as they say and I read magazines and sipped hot chocolate. Then we did errands and meet my sister and brother-in law for lunch. After that, home to make chutney for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Sunday I did paperwork and sorted photos. When we visited my mother-in law a few weeks ago we came home with boxes of photos and memorabilia. It’s been fun to look through the photos and read the letters and articles about my husbands family.
On a side note, is it just me or does anyone else feel as if they lost a friend with the passing of Matthew Perry? Admittedly, I wasn’t a big Friends fan but there was something endearing about Chandler. I was sad to read the news of his death. Gone to soon.
What about you? What did you do this weekend?
Next up +5 things.
+5 THINGS
1.READ~The Thin Woman(Free with Kindle Unlimited)
The Thin Woman
Ellie Simons stands to inherit her Uncle Merlin’s huge English country house. But on three utterly bizarre conditions. One: she must lose 63 pounds (rude!). Two: she must marry the fake fiancé she’s been passing off as her true love all weekend. And three: she must catch whoever killed Uncle Merlin in the first place.
Her family constantly mock her single status (and her weight!), so Ellie hired a boyfriend for this latest awful family reunion at Merlin’s Court. Bentley T. Haskell is devastatingly handsome and so annoying — and he’s making this fake engagement very difficult . . .
But Bentley and her catty family are the least of Ellie’s worries. Uncle Merlin’s death looks more than a little bit like murder. Which can only mean one thing. One of her horrid relatives is the killer . . .

Hi Elizabeth,
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend doing exactly what you wanted to do. Ours was quiet.
Sad about Matthew Perry passing away. Life is so precious.
️️️
Katherine,
You are so right, live is so precious. It is not to be taken for granted.
A quiet weekend is always nice especially in the run up to the business of the holidays.
The Miracle Club looks wonderful! Thank you for sharing this- I will be watching for its release!
It’s been released. You can watch it on Youtube or Amazon Prime.
Earlier last week I rewatched the movie Fools Rush In on Prime video, it’s one of my favorites of Matthew Perry. It’s hard to believe he’s gone. So happy for you that you live near your sister. Oh how I wish I could do that but there’s no way I could move to where she is. Housing there is more than my monthly income. Life is very precious. Find joy everyday!
Matthew Perry seems like he was a very kind, gentle soul. And I think he had a very loving family to try to help and support him. Gone too soon.
Have a wonderful week!
