Good morning friends! It is going to be cold and rainy here the next few days and that is fine by me because I want to bake a few things for Easter. This year it is just my husband and I, again, and while I am very sad not to be seeing my family and friends I am thankful that they are all healthy and getting their vaccinations.

Is your menu planned? We are still trying to decide what to make for Easter, I am torn between brunch and dinner. Typically if we are with family we serve brunch, that way there is something for everyone, breakfast foods, lunch foods and then food for dinner if you are still hungry after all of that and the candy from your Easter basket. If you are still planning your menu here are a few things you might want to add.

Here are 15 things you might want to put on your brunch menu.

Almond Sweet Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are always a great idea, as are hot cross buns, but have you ever made Almond Sweet Rolls? They are so good, a cross between a bear claw pastry and a cinnamon roll. Morning Buns  are a great option as well, but I would make them a few days in advance.

In addition to Easter candy and cookies, you could serve a carrot cake or cupcakes, a bunny cake or a favorite fruit pie.

Drinks

We typically have a selection of sparking water, champagne, Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and juices but you could add a signature cocktail for dinner or a selection of beer, wine and soda.

The possibilities for a scrumptious family brunch are endless. Don’t overthink the menu and do not try to take on too much, prepare as much ahead of the big day as possible so that you can enjoy your Easter instead of being stuck in the kitchen. If you are having friends or family over you could ask them to bring their favorite dish as well to save you from having to prepare all of the food.

I hope that you have a wonderful week and fun preparing your Easter menu. Have a great day!
