Weekend Meanderings
Good Saturday morning friends. It’s time for Weekend Meanderings with Kim and Juliet. Join us as we share all of the things that piqued our interests and caught our eye this week.
I hope that you are relaxing this morning with a cup of coffee, tea or chocolate and enjoying a slow start to the weekend. Thanksgiving is a mere 6 days away, can you believe it? What are your plans? What is on the menu?
We are going off menu this Thanksgiving because no one really likes turkey. Currently we are toying with the idea of an Italian Thanksgiving dinner but things could change. All of the traditional foods that we love will be served at Christmas in a few weeks so it really doesn’t matter what we eat as long as we celebrate together.
Wait I take that back, we absolutely have to have pumpkin pie, that is non-negotiable and I am making that on Wednesday.
Tell me your favorite Thanksgiving side dish? And your favorite Thanksgiving dessert?
Ok, I have lots to share so let’s meander.

House & Gardens~Lyndsey Ingram
Lyndsey Ingrams’ charming 500 sq ft home is proof that you do not need a lot of space to create the house of your dreams. This little gem has room for art, collections and of course the family dachshund.
Hannah Heemsbergen
Designer Hannah Heemsbergen’s charming 16th-century Dorset farmhouse. A warm home layered with antiques, textiles, original features and centuries of history.
Inge-Glas Company
The Inge-Glas company is one of the oldest in the world still making Christmas ornaments the traditional way. It was once one of over 1,500 manufacturers in this part of Eastern Germany, blowing glass ornaments and painting them by hand. But today, most Christmas decorations are mass-produced in China and a plastic.

Books to Give for Christmas

Books make the best Christmas gifts, I received one of these books for my birthday and the other I gave myself last year, I cannot recommend them enough!

On My Radar

Elizabeth! I love your Italian Thanksgiving plan … with pumpkin pie, of course. I’m with you, turkey is not my favorite but I’m ok with it once a year so long as it’s accompanied by my favorite sides, mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, gravy, followed by pie. Wishing you and your family the happiest Thanksgiving day! xoxo
Elizabeth, Thank you so much for sharing the festive dressing post! I also loved your plaid dress and all the pretty looks you pull together. I think an Italian Thanksgiving sounds fun. We do Lasagna as a tradition at Christmas. Why not mix it up? It’s really about being together isn’t it? Those pinecone brownies look so good – as does the stuffing with mushrooms.
I can’t wait to sit down at lunch and watch these home videos. Love the English ones!
Hope you have a great week and enjoy your Thanksgiving! xo
