MONDAY MUSINGS NO. 128
WEEKEND UPDATE
Good morning friends, happy Monday musings to you. How was your weekend?
We had a very quiet, low key weekend; just what we needed. We have been so busy lately, that by the time our friends left on Friday afternoon we were ready for a break.
Saturday we walked to the Farmer’s Market, then took a long walk around the club and the golf course and ended at the club house pool. We sat by the pool and soaked up a little vitamin D, ordered carryout dinner and walked home. I was in bed by 9:30.
Sunday we caught up on some things around the house and then we washed the cars. It was actually relaxing. we each had our own podcast on and just sort of zoned out. Thankfully we were on the shady side of the house because it was hot this weekend.
How is the weather by you? What did you do this weekend?
Ok, on to +5 Things.
5 THINGS
1.READ~The Book Lover

In The Book Lover, a charming bookshop in the village of Warwick, New York, the best stories may not be in the pages of its books, but in the lives of the people who walk through its doors. Owner Ruth Hardaway has been handselling books in her store, The Book Lover, for years. Her gift isn’t just finding the right books for her quirky cast of patrons, it’s also helping them to navigate the unexpected chapters in their own lives. When author Lucy Barrett lands on her doorstep for a book signing, only to collapse in a meltdown, Ruth is about to become a heroine in a story she never could have imagined. As for Lucy, who’s left a terrible betrayal behind, she’s about to encounter a plot twist she couldn’t have written when Ruth’s son, a disabled vet who rescues injured raptors, causes her to question everything she thought she wanted.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Summer style doesn’t have to be bright and colorful, it can be earthy and dramatic. This brown and white flowered dress is one of my new favorites, it is light and bright but can be moody as well when paired with dark accessories. Both the purse and the shoes are pieces that you can wear now and into the coming months.
Add your favorite vintage earrings or bracelets, a spritz of your favorite perfume and this outfit will take you from day to night and even to a summer wedding.
