At Home In France
Allison, a former dentist, and Costas, a naval architect and marine engineer, share their story of rekindled love and their life at the Chateau St Victor La Coste they bought in 2014. After reuniting following a 25-year gap, they sold their Paris apartment to dedicate their full-time efforts to managing and preserving their Renaissance-style home, which dates back to 1543. They discuss the emotional journey of restoring the chateau, blending historical preservation with personal touches, and the joys and challenges of maintaining such a grand estate. From transforming the garden to setting up a dreamy kitchen, they offer a glimpse into their intimate life filled with art, history, and passion.

Elizabeth, Love all these clips. I will enjoy the French one this afternoon with some tea. I am excited for the Edward Burn’s film. I follow the Perfect strangers on Instagram and it never fails to touch me. He shares such great stories and people.
Love the food ideas. It is just starting to cool here. I have to save your roast for a chilly evening. Looks so good. I also love the pumpkin bread idea and anything with pepitas.
Cute sweater in that outfit and darling plaid dress.
I hope you have a lovely weekend! xo
Good morning, Elizabeth! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. As usual I’m interested in all your links and I’m going to make a second cup of cocoa and cozy up on the sofa to enjoy. I’m excited about Ed Burns The Family McCullen. It must be a sequel to his first movie (as a director) The Brother’s McCullen … which was so good. And probably 20 years ago … or more. Wow. Your pumpkin bread looks so delish … I’m really missing all my kitchen and baking stuff. Enjoy your good friends and good food filled weekend. xo
Elizabeth, you always put appealing movies on my radar. I would find it helpful if you would include the network on which they are airing. Thank you.
Hello Elizabeth,
Thank you for such a fun post I love watching the video’s you recommend. Fun thing for me this week was spending the day with my daughter free from her job for a day, so we went to a gorgeous garden to wander and enjoy all the displays.Beautiful pumpkin towers and a model railway. So good to be together! Happy weekend!
